Time is Crucial

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds brought a three game un-beaten streak home before their game vs. Charlotte on Saturday night. They were also playing before their largest home crowd of the season (2,302), the first time this season they have attracted a turnout of 2,000. Unfortunately, they lost.

While all games are important, Divisional matches are the most important since they need one of the two top spots to qualify. Losing to the Eagles was a big blow, while it was their first loss to a Southeastern Division team this season. It was also at least the second time this season they had an unbeaten streak stopped after returning home.

After Atlanta comes to town(they tied 2-2 down there), 8 of the hounds last 9 games are against Divisional opponents and winning all is a must, especially against Rochester(we are still winless up there) and Montreal. Another important contest is when the hounds head down to Maryland for their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matchup with the MLS D.C. United, which will be a big test.

Now that Defender Ricardo Iribarren has replaced Tim Carter as head coach of the hounds. Hopefully things will improve now, they need a winning streak to finish the season with.
