By now, everyone in the league knows that the Pittsburgh Riverhounds are the hottest team in the league, after having won seven of their last 8, including a very exciting win over Rochester. Their unbeaten streak includes having been unbeaten in 9 of their last 12.
The win over the Raging Rhinos was huge, since Rochester is now battling to make the playoffs and it proves to them we can't be pushed over.
I have to admit, I had my doubts after we lost to Montreal, and since we were previously winless against the Rhinos it did not look good.
But even with our remaining games, vs Toronto(2), Virginia Beach and Syracuse, there is no guarantee we will make it in. But it was great having our second largest crowd of the season there(2,143) and I hope they continue to come out.
Whether or not we get help, it has been a great run and head coach Ricardo Iribarren deserves the credit, along with his team for their attempt. But nobody is giving up, it's still a close race.
