Toronto 2 - Pittsburgh 0

TORONTO -Toronto Lynx continue to find a win, this time 2-0 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Varsity Stadium to remain undefeated early in this A-League season. Francisco Dos Santos and Brian Ashton scored once in each half for the victory. Toronto seemed to have the better part of the play during the game with a mis-cue at the end of a run all too often. Dos Santos opened the scoring in the 16th minute when he received a sweet pass from Nikola Vignjevic. Later in the first half, Toronto was caught handling the ball in the box with an open net in front of them. Brian Ashton's volley in the 62nd minute sealed the 4 points for the victory as it found the back of the net.

The game did get chippy in the second half, the referee did a great job of keeping control.

Up next for Pittsburgh is their divisional foes Charleston Battery and Atlanta Silverbacks. The Lynx are expecting a huge crowd for their exhibition match against Reggina of the Italian Siere A. Reggina beat Rochester today 1-0 in the opening game of their A-League tour. Next Sunday, Toronto is back into league action against their Canadian rivals the Montreal Impact in a game which will be broadcast on CTV Sportsnet.
