The El Paso Patriots won in overtime Sunday night in Cincinnati, 3-2, with second-half sub Tim Pierce setting up the equalizer in the 89th minute and the 100th minute game-winner.
El Paso's two consecutive road wins over Indianapolis and Cincinnati marks the first time the team has ever won back-to-back road matches, but more importantly keeps the Patriots in sole possession of second place in the A-League's Central Division.
El Paso's winning streak also stands at four headed into this Saturday's match with the Portland Timbers in UTEP's Sun Bowl Stadium.
The Riverhawks got on the board first just before haltime when Trevor Perea found the back of the night on an assist from defender Jake Traeger in the 44th minute.
El Paso defender Hamlet Diaz leveled the score in the 51st minute.
Cincinnati's Juan Sastoque scored in the 70th minute to give the Riverhawks the lead again at 2-1.
Pierce, who entered the match at halftime, set up Laurenco Andrade in the 89th minute to tie the score at 2-2 and send the match to overtime.
In the closing moments of the first extra frame, Pierce found Junro Narita for the match-winner. The goal is Narita's first of the season.
