Kings vs. Long Island

On Friday night the Cincinnati Kings continued there recent form. They gave up an early goal on a free Kick from 25 yards out. The ball hit off of the turf and skid into the backside of the net.

However, after many recent transactions by the front office, this Kings’ lineup was on a mission. Six minutes later on a free kick, Trey Alexander played a ball into the back side that found the way into the net. The game was level again and the Kings could reign.

JT Roberts and the front office aren’t shy about getting there team into the playoffs. John Krause was acquired two weeks ago from Wilmington. He scored his first Kings’ goal on a blast from 30 yards out. He’s only 22 years old, prime position to advance to a fine USL-D2 squad. Ivan Becerra was acquired on loan from the Columbus Crew for the weekend. Ivan was rusty but was the fastest man on the pitch and a good player. Philip Koshi was acquired from the Boulder Rapid Reserves of the PDL. He’s skillful, fast and young. He should be a mainstay for a season before he’s with a USL-d1 squad.

JT acquired a group of guys to play in Pickups system. Pickups boys won convincingly. This is a new squad.

Derek Smith scored a header off of a corner and Jon Caldwell finish off the night with a left-footed rocket to the backside upper corner. On this night Pickup took old and new players, put them in the same jersey, and watched a team play a game that was exciting, fun, and ended in a victory in the Kingdom.
