Battery match raises $30K for relief efforts

Charleston Battery fans donated $4,726 during last Saturday's playoff game match with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Battery will match the collection dollar-for-dollar giving a total of $9,452.

In addition to the money collected by fans, the Charleston Battery is donating all the proceeds from the game, $21,457 to raise the grand total donation to $30,909. The money will benefit the victims of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.
