The Charleston Battery picked four college soccer prospects in Wednesday's 2003 A-League Player Draft, including Clemson goalkeeper Doug Warren.

In the first round, Charleston picked two players from North Carolina, forward Ryan Kneipper and midfielder Matt Crawford. Warren was the Battery's third pick in the first round. In the second round, the Battery picked Indiana forward Pat Noonan.

Charleston had two extra first-round picks, the result of a trade with Atlanta early last season. The Battery had both Atlanta and Richmond's first-round draft picks; Richmond had previously traded its first-round pick to Atlanta.

Warren (6-0, 165) was a Clemson three-year starter and was selected as a 2002 NSCAA first-team All- American. A native of Pallatine, Ill., Warren is in the United States Under-23 National Team player pool.

Noonan (6-0, 170) was selected as a first-team All-American in 2002 and 2001. The Ballwin, Mo., native was a four-year Indiana starter and led the Hoosiers in 2002 with 14 goals and nine assists.

Noonan was a runner-up for the 2002 and 2001 national player of year award.
