Calgary Storm beat El Paso Patriots 2-1 during a chilly Saturady afternoon at Foothills Park. The teams were tied 0-0 at halftime. Sean Fraser scored the opening goal early in the second half after a nice set up involving Nick Zuniga and Richard Henry. Nick Zuniga got the second goal of the game 10 minutes later on a penalty kick when a handball in the El Paso box was called by the linesman. El Paso pulled one back as a result of a free kick
Shortly thereafter Nick Zuniga was sent off for a red card at the 80th minute after his temper got the better of him during a fracas. Storm were reduced to 10 men during the final ten mintes of the game yet kept it tight and resilient to register the win.
The game was marred by a multitude of yellow cards during the ill tempered affair. Storm now improves to 2-3 during the season.
