The biggest game of 2004........A-League vs MLS


First place in the A-League takes on first place in the MLS in a massive match-up as the Atlanta Silverbacks take on the Kansas City Wizards in the 4th round of the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, July 20th at DeKalb Memorial Stadium in a game scheduled to kick-off at 7.45 p.m.

The Atlanta Silverbacks are currently on an 11 game winning streak that has seen them move into 1st place in the A-League standings and are coming off a thrilling 3-2 sudden death overtime win against the 4th place Richmond Kickers.

Kansas will bring Josh Wolfe and Kerry Zavagnin, both of whom played for the U.S. National team in the 1-1 tie against Poland on Sunday.

There will be 12 players on the field that have full national team experience, 8 for the Kansas City club and 4 for the Silverbacks.

Alex Pineda-Chacon, the 2001 MLS MVP will match up against the only two-time MLS MVP, Kansas City's Preki, who won the honor in both 1997 and 2003.

The general admission price will be $17.50 per adult and $12.50 for youths up to the age of 12. These prices include free parking for this match.
