The Charlotte Eagles are proud to announce a new long term partnership with region 605 of the American Youth Soccer Organization. AYSO is a nationwide non-profit organization that delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment. Region 605 of AYSO includes over 650 families in the Charlotte area.
“We are very excited to be a partner with such an outstanding organization as AYSO,” Eagles spokesman Nathan Krum states. “The goals and values of both organizations match perfectly, and we look forward to being a long-term resource to the families, coaches, and players of AYSO.”
As part of the partnership, the Eagles will help provide professional based curriculums for the AYSO coaches that will serve as a supplement to AYSO’s program. The Eagles will also be conducting clinics for the coaches and players, as well as making several appearances to give the children an opportunity to interact with professional soccer players. The Eagles will also be providing ticket incentives for all the members throughout the 2006 season.
Krum also states that the Eagles will be doing website exclusives on pro players such as 2-time league MVP Jacob Coggins, who have had their roots in AYSO. “The passion and enjoyment of the game can begin at such a young age, and we want to continue to send that message to those young players that their goals can be achieved and those dreams can be reached.”
The Eagles will begin their quest to defend their 2005 National Championship on April 21st as they open up against the Cincinnati Kings at 7:00 p.m. Opening Night will also include a Championship Celebration that will honor all Charlotte area sports teams who have won a major championship in 2005, and will be followed by the Eagles Ring Ceremony.
