The Pittsburgh Riverhounds, who won their last game during a visit to Wilmington(3-1) have been inactive this past weekend. But they return to a busy week which starts on Tuesday when they visit the Rochester Rhinos (USLD1) at Rhinos Field in tournament play in the first round of the LHUSOC. Last season, the Hounds lost 3-0 up there, but with their newest additions, including goalkeeper Daniel Waltman, Defender Nicola Katic, Forward Thomas J. Gray and Sean Bucknor, the Hounds hope to bring some new power. Especially with Rochester missing a player or two. The Rhinos recently battled Minnesota to a scoreless draw and the Hounds are rested.
The next league game upcoming is when the Bermuda Hogges visit Chartiers Valley H.S. Stadium in a rare Thursday night contest. This will be 'Schools Out' night and the Hounds hope to keep the Hogges winless road streek continuing. The Hogges have three wins so far so they are not a team to take lightly.
Nor are the Richmond Kickers, who visit on Sunday night, also at 7:05. The Kickers are coming off a 5-0 win over Harrisburg and they make two stops before visiting CVHS. They play on Saturday night, which hopefully gives the advantage to the Hounds, who currently drop to the bottom of the standings after a pair of wins by Western Mass this past weekend. The Hounds need more wins, which hopefully will come this week.
A good way to start the week would be to advance to the next round against Rochester, on Tuesday.
