Riverhounds In Bermuda Again Saturday – July 4TH

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds play the second match of a four game road trip Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ADT at the National Sports Center in Bermuda. Additionally, it’s the second United Soccer Leagues Second Division game in three days against the Bermuda Hogges. On Thursday night, the Hounds came away with a 2-1 victory on the island.
Pittsburgh’s earned goals from Tony Labudovski, off of an Ed Hayden throw-in in the 10th minute, and Tenywa “T-Bone” Bonseu in the 45th minute, off of Justin Evans’ corner kick.
Pittsburgh is now 4-5-3 (15-points). Bermuda is 3-9-2 (11-points). The Hounds now own two wins over the Hogges in 2009 and go for the season sweep Saturday. Six of the nine USL-2 teams will be involved in the playoffs, and Pittsburgh is now just a single point away from that final spot.
Upon their return from the Caribbean, Pittsburgh will face Real Maryland on July 11th before visiting first place Harrisburg on July 18th. Then the Riverhounds will be home for their last five consecutive regular season games beginning on July 24th and 26th when they host the Western Mass Pioneers for two games. The Riverhounds will also be home to the Wilmington Hammerheads on August 1st, the Charlotte Eagles on August 8th, and Crystal Palace Baltimore on August 15th. All of the remaining home matches will be played at Chartiers Valley Stadium off of I-79 south of the city.
